Any blood patches for BF2 yet?

I wanna see spray!

I heard the patch would have blood but I havent had time to run it yet... is this true?

there will not be blood untill someone hacks it in, if there is blood, it raises the ESRB rating.
 
Mmm blood splashes..

Now I can get a visual confirmation if I actually hit the target :)

As long as the soldiers don't get "gibbed" ala quake style from
arty and armor.. we should be okay with the ESRB

And FYI, chicks dig monster kills
 
i seriously doubt they will implement blood officially, due to realism issues. That would mean that when someone gets a headshot with a sniper, blood would shoot out of their head. The shot to the head, which caused brains to jump out of the persons body, would still only cause 10 dmg total. Normally if someone has brains falling out of their head they die. No brains, no death, no raise in dmg for shot which equals less work for EA.

The LAST thing this game needs is more graphical eye candy... lol

Uhh, I play a sniper and hitting someone in the head = 1 shot death for me......
It's that a lot of people hit them in their "body" and it can take two hits for that.
 
You can see brains fly out of heads in Doom 3! Oh, right. I forgot. It is orthodoxy now to hate D3. But still...it's got the flying brains!

How can it get higher than M? Adding blood will not get it the dreaded AO+ rating. Blood is only an issue for Germany.

BF2 is rated T, not M.

the ESRB has things against companies releasing "patches" that up the game to a rating it didn't get, since this basically allows a game to sell to kids, then they get online and play a game that's M rated (why it wouldn't probally matter at all, it can raise issues with certain hardass parents that don't bother to even take action in what their kids do and expect games to raise em).

If BF2 gets a blood patch, more then likely you will not be seeing "brain matter" or huge blood streaks stickin to walls, etc. Instead you should be expecting nothing more then a slight red "mist/puff."

As Teen rating allows mostly for "minimal" blood, not full on gore which is where the M rating comes into play (A la Half life 2, halo 2, mgs, etc).
 
why does there have to be blood? seriously, it doesn't make the game any better imo
 
i think if anything the "blood" that we will get is gonna be the dust that currently comes out of people just colored red.

it wont be noticeable unless youre knifing or point blank

Oh, that's what that dust is for...my friend and I were teabagging a dead MEC once, and FF was off so we started unloading all our magazines into each other. A little plume of dust came off each time I hit him, I was like ":confused:"
 
get bf2ee from planetbattlefield, adds blood and some other enhancements that i think is worth it.

Color me embarassed. How did I miss that? Usually if any game features human killing, it's automatically rated M.

Try the MEC sniper rifle.

3~5 body shots for a kill.

that's what i was thinking too. Is it possible that this will get fixed in a patch? I mean give me a fuckin break. How many people can take 3 shots in the chest from a high powered rifle, and still run around jumping 10 feet in the air to avoid another? I love BF2. Been averaging about 3 hours a day since i bought it a week ago. But the overall glaring fault is the sniper kit. I would love a scalable scope like FarCry has, and two shots at the most to take someone down. That, and i think the antitank missle should be two shots to stop a tank too.

No, human killing doesn't get an M.

Only when you either have nudity (not porn, but nudity) or have blood/gore to an extent..

fF you kill a human and there's not lots of blood/gore (not minimal) it can easily get a Teen.

This is why most of the games Ea publishes/develops (like MOH) are rated Teen, because they don't put gore into them, in order to get a T rating.
