I'm in the market for a new case (alas, my Chieftec Dragon Series case is falling apart :\). I like full-tower cases - lots of room, plenty of space for air flow, etc. However, with Christmas coming up, I'm looking at other cases, specifically the Lian-Li cases. I've seen pictures, and they really are very nice. The problem is, I have an Asus A8N-SLI Premium, with the heatpipe, which I've read does not fare well in BTX configurations. I don't really have much of a desire to remove the heatpipe and place coolers on the mosfets and active cooling on the chipset and all that, so I'm wondering, can Lian-Li cases be converted to ATX, or are there any (mid- or full-tower) Lian-Li ATX cases already out there?
I guess, while I'm posting this, I'll say that I'm open for suggestions to a new case. Preferably full-tower, it's more my sort of thing. I've looked at the Antec P-180, which I hear is nice but has some issues with cable management of the PSU (everything being fed through one hole, I guess), and the Thermaltake Armor case, which looks nice, but many reviews have stated that it's really heavy. I do go to LANs, so I'm looking for something portable, stylish, good airflow and somewhat affordable (though again, this is Christmas, it's not my money
). Noise doesn't concern me all that much...though, I'm looking to switch from 80mm fans to 120mm. Ever since I heard the 120mms in my friend's case (or rather, didn't hear), I was sold on the idea of bigger, quieter fans.
Thanks in advance.
