Which free antivirus software and anti malware are you guys using for your Windows 11 home usage? I am using AVAST for my gaming rig (my signature). Do I need any anti malware or AVAST and Windows Defender are enough?

Windows defender is enough? But what about if you actually want to know what it's removing and confiscating from your computer before it does it? WD just scans your computer, and removes anything it doesn't like; doesn't even tell you what it's removing. I don't call that a good program; I want to know what it considers 'Potentially Unwanted Programs' BEFORE it does anything.

doesnt bother me at all....
how about you offer a solution instead of whining about mine then?

Ever since Windows 10 I have never bothered with free antivirus. At work we use Sophos, but at home Defender. Before that I used AVG Free for a very long time.

Defender is fine, Avast free is crap anyways, better off with bitdefender free

Defender should notify you based on setting when it finds something malicious.

note, defender stand alone is easily bypassed by most malware and ransomware, info-stealers these days, if you are installing questionable things...

Yes I ditched Avast and installed the free version of Bit Defender. Last night I was upgrading the BIOS and other utilities through "Gigabyte Control Centre" and I was surprised to discover that Norton Internet Security was a part of it

Norton often installs automatically through Gigabyte Control Center or bundled utilities. It’s better to update BIOS and drivers manually from Gigabyte’s website to avoid unwanted software installation.
