anti-vibration foam?

I just got a new computer table, but with my pc on it, I get some noticeable vibration going through the desk, especially on startup. Is there a dense foam or rubber top/pad I can put on my desk to dampen the vibration? Or is there another method? I'd like to keep the PC case itself on something else besides my desk, but I don't know what to use. Any suggestions would be great, thank you.
 
That's where I put all computers at home and at my work department for the last 15+ years. You do not have to worry about static with the case closed so that you are not touching inner components. Dust is a little bit of a problem but it will generally not cause problems unless you have unusually high dust and are overclocking.
 
You could also find the source of the vibration and make steps to eliminate it. Most of the time the vibration is caused by either fans or hard drives. Or as you said use "anti-vibration foam" I can not help with that.
 
As drescherjm suggested, the first step is to seek out the source of the vibration. Things like replacing fans and adding rubber grommets/washers may help. Once that investigation is done, a general dampener you could use would be Dynamat -- basically cut to size and apply to the inside-bottom, removable side-panel, and maybe the inside-top of the case.
