Antenna Upgrade Help Please

I have a Linksys WRT54G that I am providing for somebody, but their home is a bit larger and has a few weak signal spots. I would like to get upgraded antennas to replace the short 5-6" stock ones.

Can anybody recommend a good set and place to buy for fairly cheap? The connector type would also help I think since there are several types right?

Replacing the entire router will be cheaper and/or easier. Find a nice cheap Buffalo .11n router for $30 and call it done. Typically the "Extended Range" antennas from Linksys suck and the direct attached aftermarket ones are crap.
