viperdv2k4 said:hey, i just installed an Antec Truepower 2.0 480W... My voltages are --
+12- 11.85
-12- 12.16
The rest seem around perfect, but are these supposed to be off by this much? because i thought antecs are supposed to be super stable. Also, on my 20-pin main connector, one pin is missing on the connector. There is an empty square.. .is that supposed to be happening?
THanks

viperdv2k4 said:Ok, and what about the 20-pin main atx connector missing a pin?

looks good to meSpectre said:So I have been scratching my head trying to figure out why we are at cross communication here until I realized something. Your PSU is a 24pin PSU. So I guess you are using an adapter?
On a 24pin(BTX) pin number 13 is a 3.3VDC pin and pin 18 is a ground.
On a 20pin(ATX) pin number 13 is a ground and pin 18 is the -5v.
In a SFX connector pin 18 is removed otherwise it is like a 20 pin ATX connector.
So pins 1-10 on the 20pin and 24pin are the same. Pins 13-22 on the 24 pin match up to pins 11-20 on the 20 pin connector.
So you have the option of missing from what you have described so far:
20pin:
Pin 13-ground
Pin 18- the -5v
24 pin:
Pin 13-3.3vdc
Pin 18-ground
Pin 15-ground
Pin 19-ground
So I wouldn't worry but damned if I know which pin you are pointing too.
This is all unless i have f'ed my diagrams. Then Ice Czar will bitch slap me for a while.

Dude, not to be rude, but someone has gone to the trouble of posting pin out diagrams for you above, and you still cant figure out the pin number?viperdv2k4 said:Ok, my power suppply is a 24-pin but my motherboard can only support 20-pin. The power supply is backwards compatable, so it can support 20-pin, so the 4 extra pins on 1 side are detachable. The pin that is missing is 3 from the side where the extra pins are attachable, on the bottom row.
So, would that matter?
