i've had an antec true 430 psu on my new comp for a month and i have a question about it, i just recently found out that there is a molex connector on back of the PSU where the I/O switch is and i was wondering what its for. I hooked up a case fan to it just for the fun of it. and it worked. So exactly what is this molex connector doing in back of the psu?

For doing just that?
I guess it's easier than modding a slot cover or something to get power outside, I have the same thing and occasionally use it at LAN parties to test out a fan or light someone just won. That's pretty much it.

its a simple auxillary connector thats a nice added feature, if for instance you want to run a low power (and I do mean low power) DC pump, fans, lights ect
other supplies sometimes have an AC out there, so you can daisy chain without the need for a seperate power strip, runniing an AC pump for instance, the question then is is it straight through or after a fuse (Id guess straight)
