I am currently rebuilding my computer, there was a horrible disaster earlier this month and most everything died. (apparantly I forgot to plug in a certain power regulator on my motherboard  )

I currently have the Antec Truepower II 550

--Video Card: Yet to decide between 7900GT, 7900GTX, X1800XT (A baffling predicament)

Will this power supply cut it? I dont mind upgrading to something more powerful, I dont want to compromise my new system.

EDIT: Oh shit, wrong area. Can I move this myself? Sorry mates...

if your going to spend the $ on a 7900GTX you can also get an X1900XT/XTX for that price =p
if ur going for lower price cards I'd say the X1800XT if you can deal with the noise, the 7900GT still has an annoying sound, the sound though is on all the time, where as the X1800XT is only noisy during gaming

if you dont want to deal with the noise and are going highend the GTX might be better suited for you

also the power supply seems more then ok
i have a liberty 500 with an opteron 165@2.7 2gigs of ddr500, 1 raptor + 250gig hd, dvdrom, 3 120mm fans and a water pump =p
