I have an Antec 300, but after using several other cases, it is no longer my top choice for a case in this price range. It lacks a cooler hole in the motherboard tray, lacks any semblance of cable management, and lacks a sexy black interior.

The Antec will outlast any case on there except for the Lian-Li. Rosewill cases are garbage, you will bend the side panels if you look at them wrong..

Maybe the metal will, but the paint definitely will not. The paint on the Antec 300 is not the worst, but for instance, the NZXT paint jobs are actually better. I updated the list more recently, so check out the SilverStone and the Zalman.

What myself and many others did was price match it at Netlink Computers who also has a $30 mail-in rebate so you can potentially get it for $10 after rebate. For the price match at Netlink, it's on sale for $49.99 (limit 1 per customer) so you can't pricematch it but you can always add 2 into your cart and then delete the cheaper on and then start a price match.

The 300 is a very nice case for $45. I tend to go for the more minimalist looking cases though and it's nice to see some decent entry-level cases with designs like the 300. I haven't had any trouble with the paint on them either. Also, NZXT has definitely stepped up its game over the last couple of years. Their latest cases are very sturdy and have great interiors. Very easy to work with.

One case to add to the list is the HAF 912 for $60. I recently got put together a machine using that case and I really liked it. Not too over-the-top with the styling and a bunch of neat features. Tons of space and easy to wok in!
