Antec Spot Cool alternative without the LEDs?

My 7970's in CF get really hot when gaming (the top one gets to around 90C), mainly because there's no space between them - there's only one slot in between the PCI-E slots.

I think forcing some air between them might help, and the Antec Spot Cool looks like a neat solution but the blue LEDs will mess up my white colour scheme and from what I've read they can't be switched off. So does anyone have any alternative suggestions? I don't even know what to Google for.

Do you experience any system instability due to the temperatures? If not, don't worry about it, GPUs are highly resistant to high temperatures. An old 7900GS I had wouldn't even start to throttle itself until it reached 130C. Going with an aftermarket cooler would be the most effective option, the little spot cool fans won't be powerful enough to make any sort of a difference.

No there's no instability, but the real issue is noise. With one card the fan runs around 50-60% and isn't too loud, but when they're in CF the top card runs at 80% and is very annoying. On a warm day I've seen it go up to 96C so I'm not sure lowering the fan speed for lower noise is a good idea.

Aftermarket coolers are expensive though, and most of the ones I've seen take up more than 2 slots so wouldn't fit in my setup.

I guess I could just live with it since winter is coming around and also AMD's new cards might be out soon, hopefully a single 8970 will be enough for an Eyefinity setup...
