Tweaknews has posted a review of Antec's soundscience Rockus 3D 2.1 speaker system today. You can see our evaluation here for comparison purposes.

Antec's Soundscience has made an impressive launch into the PC speaker market with the Rockus 3d 2.1 system. Not only can a buyer expect to hear sparkling high frequencies, clear midrange and tight bass response, the 3D sound adds a level of immersion to games and movies that other 2.1 systems cannot reproduce.

The one spec I need to see isn't listed. The sub Crossover Frequency.

After buying into the Logitech's Z5500, which is one of the worst purchases I've ever made, and finding out the dummies fixed the crossover at 125hz making them damn near useless for music, I want to know this info before I ever buy another set of computer speakers.

These speakers are $250 and you get a 2.1 setup for that money. The review was pretty average and they didn't test the actual frequency response of these speakers with any equipment other than reviewer's ears. I'm no audiophile but the whole review really sounded like something I'd expect from a set of Bose speakers, which imo, are junk. At $250 one can have a very nice set of headphones if space is a limiting factor or a 5.1 receiver with speakers (can get a used mid-high end receiver as well for that money). A 2.1 system is still a 2.1 system no matter what software gimmicks they add to it. Honestly, I fail to see the value of this setup.

what does it mean that they "fixed the cossover at 125hz"? what would a good crossover would be?
