Antec Sonata III

Hi all,

With last upgrade I bought a Sonata (1st model) and I'm running the same setup since then. Later I saw the Sonata II but wasn't excited.

I'm getting ready for an upgrade and I was wishing to see a new Sonata at this CES so I could pass all my setup to someone else. I was right! There is the Sonata III.

Sadly I'm not sure I like it. The finish (clear coat) don't seems as bright as previous and no more blue LEDs (I'm not a fan of very illuminated box, those 2 blue LEDs are the only I got but I liked them) and no more little silver door to hide unused ports.

I think I will pass... The 1st was the best for my liking.

I love my Sonota also. I dont miss my old leaf-blower tower at all. Only down side is the case's internal air ducting does not always work with newer components without modification. (like TT Big Typhoon, Zalman's video coolers)

i have a sonata 2(but i don't use it), and the sonata 3 looks like crap compared to it

p182 looks pretty rad. I wish the non-mirror version was also black on the inside.. maybe even with a window..

Antec was also showing off a new mirrorific design for the P182. This case has a mirrored finish on the outside and is painted black on the inside.

That's exactly what I've slowly been working on as a P180 project for months. Now I kind of hope it doesn't come out.

ya the look on the mirrored p182 is hot, too bad i already bought a p180b, no biggie though since im not gonna do a watercooling setup anytime soon.

The 182 would look good with just the mirrored front and black sides, along with black inside. The mirrored sides are a bit too much.
