antec sonata II - thoughts?

Thinking about one of these sonata ii's for a file server. I've been reading opinions on newegg ,but have 2 questions:

1. can you put a front fan in it for the HDs? (this will be a heavy file server)
2. is the PSU really as bad as some folks say? Will it take out any hardware if it fails??
 
1. theres a 120mm on silicone gummets behind the HDcage ( not between case and the HDcage )
2. After 2 years my smartpower 380W went bang ( Sonata 1 )

Get a cheap but stable, lowpower PSU.

2. No, the PSU is good.

You must mean on the Sonata 1.... sonata 2 doesn't seem to have any front fans or mountings (that i can see).

Yeah it does. Check between the hard drive chamber and the motherboard chamber. There is 4 holes for a 120mm fan.

mine went bang! i was lukcy it didnt take out any other components
