I have this case and i am curious as to what the mod community has done to it
I have one, and would really like to work with it as well, but being built like a tank it seems difficult to modify. It seems like it would almost take a blowtorch to remove the lower drive cage. I would also like to remove the crossbar, because you have to pull the motherboard and everything to remove the power supply. The case is not deep enough for long video cards.
I would also like to change the front intake to be something other than the 2 x 90mm fans, but haven't figured out anything good for that. Also, possibly add a blowhole, but it is almost like drilling into a vault!
If anyone has done any of these type of mods, please post.
Yep...I own the Antec Solo case that came with the Neo 550 watt PSU (Seasonic Build) that modular as well. Never mod the case myself. Like Aamsel mentioned....It's built like a tank. It will not accept a video longer then 10 5/8". I have a HIS 4890 video card in there & it just makes it. The only mod I would make is cut the lower HD drive cage. It a wonderful case with 2-92mm fans (not 90mm) & one 120mm rear (solid airflow) & I love the mesh filter in the front.

I own a SOLO and a P182b... both built like a tank. I especially like the SOLO's glossy finish, it's going to house a HTPC one day for me and definitely won't look out of place next to the other components.
And FYI, a 120mm fan has been shown to fit in the 2x92mm housing. At least I remember seeing somebody do it on silentpcreview a long while back.
For an "adult-looking" mid-tower, the SOLO can't be beat in my opinion... so quiet and has so many features (HDD suspension, noise dampened panels, easy to remove mesh filter) built right in.

I had a maxed out solo for a long time. And I mean maxed. All 5 HDD's were full, full atx motherboard with 120mm Zalman cooler, SLI graphics, add in sound card, 2 optical drives, and a big Enermax PSU. That was one of the best cases I ever had, I wouldn't do a thing to it!
Sadly, I now own 7 hard drives and had to get a bigger case. The motherboard fried and so I upgraded from S939 to AM3. Those were the days...

I can not find any reference to this, nor can I see any way to make this work?
The only mods I've done to mine is to cutout the grills for the fans to improve airflow and to augment the sound insulation with limp mass vinyl. Great case, plenty of airflow for my i860 even at 600rpm, and at those speeds, the system is inaudible.
