The fellas at Neoseeker have the Antec Six Hundred V2 in house for a little review action today. Overall, I just don't think the crew was very impressed with the case. Here's a quote from the review:

The Antec 600 V.2 case is the return of an old favorite with a few tweaks. The old hot-swap 3.5" drive bay was converted to the more modern 2.5" form factor to accommodate solid state drives, and interesting design styling attempts to keep this case current with today's PC gamers and system builders.

A friend bought me one to replace a horribly cheap old case. Going from something bargain bin to this 600 V2 is nice. Since this is my first adventure into a more solid case, at least I have a lot green pasture to look at and nice to know that increasingly better cases are being made.

Wow that is an ugly case. They would have been better off improving the interior.

have to agree on this one. i personally hate the extra plastic 'bling' thats slapped on to a lot of cases nowadays. if you have moulded plastic stuff attached to the outside of the case then why not just make the case larger to incorporate the additional features on the inside. in the 'Antec Six Hundred V2's case, it's the 200mm fan on top.

some people like a bit of case bling, that's fair enough. give me a clean light aluminium case any day, a less is more philosophy.

Ugggh...more crap from Antec, do they have only the one designer at that company, and he's stuck in a rut, paint the bloody interior already!!!

SSD bays, and USB 3.0, are not an incentive to buy this case, serious lack of anything new from Antec for the last five years, they went from just about equal with Thermaltake on radical ideas of case appearance (Thermaltake had them beat with internal layout a long time ago), to rock bottom, page 3 of the review is a perfect example of how crap the layout is, it's a fecking rats nest, and the HDD section is still taking up a bunch of room by going lengthways.

Did I mention PAINT THE BLOODY INTERIOR!!!

Yeah, not a good looking case at all. While I'm in the minority on here when it comes to this, I don't get a case for what it looks like on the inside (no windows, etc)... so it really baffles me why so many cases have to have such non functional exteriors. All the edges and angles just give one more surface area for dust to settle and to have to clean every time.

It's an old case, it has its flaws, but I don't know why they can't expand on the design job for the 300... Even now, it still looks far more elegant than a shitload of stuff out there.

I'm also still waiting for that horrendous blue leds in everything trend to die off. Worst LED color ever.
