Antec P183 V3 - Poor Quality

Hi everyone, recently upgraded from an Antec P180 which I've had for 5 years to an Antec P183 V3.
Very disappointed with the P183 and wish I had kept my Antec P180.
Issues are as follows :-
1. Noise - Not as quiet as my Antec P180. Much more noisier than my P180 and that is with all the fans on the P183 set to low.

2. Silicone Feet - Cannot move the case around at all without the silicone feet coming off. Had to be reglued all of them. Why there isn't plastic casing surrounding the feet is very puzzling. The case is so heavy that it can't be picked up easily also.

3. Magnet that holds the front door on the case has come out and needed to be reglued.

I have raised this with Antec Support. Let's see what they say. However, I'm pretty confident that this will be my last Antec Case.

Any other forum members have similar issues ?

Thanks :)

I, for one, agree. I had the 900 and worked with another cheap antec before, and their quality left much to be desired. I bought a cheap NZXT recently that was much better designed, and had a better feel than the Antecs.

Issue 2 and 3 I've had with my p180 and I've had it since '06 :p

Hi many thanks for the replies so far. Only reason for changing the case in the first place was that I was having a new PC Built and needed USB 3.0 support.
Will look to upgrade the case later in the year. Will look into NZXT Cases and the New Corsair 550D.
From what I've read on various forums, Antec's Customer Support is supposed to be quite good.
Let's see what their response is.
I'm from the UK btw and paid £ 120.00 for this case. With all these quality control issues, this case is not worth the money and is overpriced for what it is.

Hi here is the official response that I got from Antec :-

1 Noise is something that is perceived differently from every person. Someone finds that the same thing is quiet the other finds it too loud already. P183 was built with Quiet Computing technology in mind, but still has to maintain proper ventilation for the components to be cooled properly. A solution would be to replace the fans with ultra silent ones or turn not needed ones off.

2 An enclosure like the P183 is usually a stationary device that should not be moved. If there is a need to move it, it should be picked up and not moved by simply pushing or pulling it. The stands have not been built to withstand such treatment, but have been constructed from silicone to maintain the Quiet Computing feature of the enclosure.

3 That the magnet has come apart from your enclosure is a defect that will be covered by your warranty. You may opt to contact our RMA department with your proof of purchase and a picture of the defect to receive a warranty replacement.

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with a product from Antec. If you need any further assistance with the defects, please let us know and we will do our best to make it right.

I think that's a fair response, however I do hope that my points have been noted and are considered with further revisons of this case.
I also must add that this case is extremely heavy and having to pick it up everytime to move it, or to access the back ports etc etc is not good enough for me.

Hi, cluzsan, nice to meet you. The reason I did not go for the P280, is that I prefer the look of the P183 and also the P280 won't fit on my computer table, whereas the P183 fits perfectly. :)

They haven't strayed from the same design for the last seven years, new panels and bezel and that's about it. Worked on plenty of new Antec cases, and I think the 900 was the high point for the company, I haven't been impressed by anything else they have churned out.

Is almost the same size couple inches more. But you right,I like the look of the P280 exterior but I like more of the P183 v3 interior. The P280 interior have to much plastic and the look of corsair interior.
