Hey all, I'm currently building with an antec p183 and msi x58e pro. i noticed that the front panel power switch connector takes up 3 pins (although only the outer two have leads) while theres only a spot for 2 pins on the motherboard.

i believe the motherboard follows the intel connectivity standard.

does anyone know what i can do?

hmm interesting.. the power switch plug should be 2 if im not mistaken and the LED's should be 3 connectors in length i believe.. i would contact antec and ask them if it was printed wrong or something.. only other choice would be to either cut the connector or break it in 2 pieces so you can connect it..

The PWR LED (light) should be 3 pins, as sirmonkey mentioned. PW SW (switch) should be two pins. If they somehow screwed up, you can pull out the wires and arrange them however you need them to be.

Use a pin or microscrewdriver to lift up the tab to unlock the connector pins:

It is probably the power led connector. Otherwise, it is really easy to rearrange the pins.
