Hello,

Anyone have experience with the Antec P180 Mini? I am looking for a decent cooler for a Core i7 that will fit in the case.

Thanks

Do a search - there a multiple threads covering this case in great length.

Didn't like it. doesn't cool very well. If your using it as a basic system with a lower end graphics card, it's probably ok.

Really the case got pretty good reviews on everything except for the weight. I thought it would be the perfect case for my micro-atx i7 build. Do you have a recommendation of another case? I am building a new desktop here are the specs:

i7 920 "thank you Micro Center"
EVGA 121-BL-E756-TR Micro ATX
G Skill DDR3 1600 8gb (2x4)
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w
Caviar Black 750gb
LITE-ON DVD/RW
XFX GTS 250

Thanks

Does it have to be such a small case? I mean the P180 isn't a bad case. My biggest gripe was that you can't effectively cool the hdd's. And considering how hot the I7's get I would consider a larger case with better cooling. But that's just me.

It doesn't have to be a small case I am flexible regarding that. The features that sold me on the case were the bottom mount psu, the black interior "saves me the $60 on powder coating" and the overall design of the case. The other selling point of a small case is I currently have a server "full atx case" and a workstation "atx mid tower" under the desk and was hoping to not add another beast to the cramped workspace. That being said I don't want to get a case that jeopardizes the hardware because it cant handle heat efficiently. Function definitely comes first. One thing to note about cooling the HD is that I will only have one HD in this case. I have tons of storage on my server.

The Cooler Master 690 is really hard to beat at it's price point. But it might be a bit larger then what your looking for. The new versions have black interiors.

That is a great looking cases and has everything I was looking for. It is definitely larger than what I had in mind but if I ever needed to switch to a larger mobo later this would accommodate many more options than the P180. Thanks for pointing me in this direction dkev I will keep this in mind as an option.
