Antec p180 problems please help

I just bought a P180 case, and I have to say it's one big pain in the ass to work in..
My main issue is that I can't figure out how to mount drives in the upper HDD cage,
there are only 2 small screw holes on the drive rails and they don't line up with the HDD's screw holes, and no screws that came with the case are small enough to fit in them.
Any help from any fellow p180 owners would be greatly appreciated.
 
The case comes with two sets of rails, one short one long. The long oens are for the 5.25, short for the 3.5. Are you using the correct rails?
 
The upper drive cage has some drive trays you attach the drives to. They attach to the bottom of the HDD.

The lower drive cage you use the screws with the big flat head to attach them too..... you also use those on the top drive bay.

Unless you have some freaky drive, I've not had a n issue attaching several drives to my p180b.

For any further questions, the manual does help. I thought it was more of a complication to put the PSU in than the HDD's in their cage.
 
Edit-- Beat to the punch

From the manual(4B is me):

Upper HDD Installation

1. Remove the thumbscrew holding the upper HDD cage.

2. Pull the HDD cage from its position by pulling the ring. Note: If you want to
install the optional front 120mm fan, you should do so before continuing.
Please refer to the Cooling System section for further details.

3. There are two HDD trays inside the cage. Squeeze the metal clips on each side
of a tray and slide it out.

4. Mount your hard drive to the drive tray with the special screws provided.
Don’t over-tighten the screws since that could decrease the grommets’ ability
to absorb vibration and noise. Note: Always mount the hard drive with the
thicker side of the silicone grommets contacting the hard drive.

4B The screws go in on the bottom of the drive thru the silicon feet in the drive tray.

5. Slide and lock the tray back into the case.

6. Repeat this if you want to mount another hard drive in the upper cage.

7. Slide the cage back to the case and fasten the thumbscrew.

8. Please refer to the power supply installation section to route the power cables
to your devices. Once you’ve done so, connect the appropriate power connectors
to your device.

part 19, on page 2 is what I am talking about. I thought the 3 1/2" rails were for a floppy drive in between the hd cages.

(if you want to install a hard drive in the upper 5 1/4 bays you will need an adaptor.)
 
I have that case and yes figuring out how to install the hard drives was a pain, I actually thought they had forgot to send me necessary hardware to do so... You actually have to use the included rubber dampeners with the long screws that have wide flat tops near the heads... if i remember correctly you actually have to screw the hard drives down from the bottom as opposed to the sides... it was confusing...
 
Thanks I bunch guys, I was trying to screw them in from the sides. I'll give it another go today.
