Antec NSK2480 B (black)?

Hello,

I like the Antec NSK2480. I hate the silver front panel, because it doesn't match with anything. While searching for a solution, I came across this:




This is exactly what I need. Unfortunately, it is only listed on New Zealand and Australia shops? :confused:

Of course, you could just paint the front of the normal 2480 black, but then the buttons are still silver and it wouldn't look as good as factory-made.

I wrote Antec a mail, but since I doubt the answer will be informative, I am asking here aswell. Does anyone know more about this case? Is it still being produced?

I got an answer from Antec. The black version was custom made because someone in Australia ordered a whole container.
 
I painted 1/2 of mine black to match my receiver...

That looks very good! What are the screws for? Is that smoked acrylic?
 
It's poor-mans smoked acrylic... I just got some car window shading stuff and put it on the back of clear acrylic. I couldn't find any smoked locally... didn't look very hard though. And yes, the screws hold the acrylic to the front of the case. I left them shiny cause I liked the look to it.

heh, easy. The acrylic is only 1/8" thick so I just push on the acrylic which is pressed up against the button, button presses in, drive opens. Seems to work just fine. :)
 
The fusion is similar indeed, but I don't need the volume knob, the display and the higher price. :)
 
I think the fusion is alright but I wish they had put the display centered on the case and left both 5 1/4 bays open instead of off-center and taking up a bay.
