I just purchased new hardware primarily an Asus maximus formula mobo and a q9450 with an antec neopower 650 to power it.

However the mobo didn't want to power up with the antec 650, in face the fans didn't even start spinning, all there was was a quick flash in the boards diodes... since the asus board booted fine using the psu from my old box i figured the antec was at fault. However checking the Antec in my work pc shows that it actually powers that mobo just fine, so now I'm at a loss, i can't return it because it actually works, and i can't use it in my new system either.

So what do you figure is the motherboard or PSU at fault, or are they just not compatible for some odd reason ?

Returned it for a northQ and it works just fine with the asus mobo also it has much nicer cables than the antec, im still dumbfounded by the antecs inability to turn on but oh well...
