Im looking at an Antec NeoPower 480W. I was wondering if this is a good powersupply, im going to be pairing it with an nforce4 sli mobo, a64 cpu, and probably a bfg 6800gt. I do plan on overclocking. I am wondering if this powersupply will be stable and powerful enough for my needs. thank you

Tho not SLI certified it should provide WAY more power than that configuration should need.

SLI certified has a lot more to do with powering two video cards than it it has relevance for powering an SLI motherboard. For that rig, you should be fine. I wouldn't bet it would power a pair of 6800GTs, though.

I have seen them power a pair of 6800gt's sadly they weren't mine.

Well I have one and can put a P4 3.0 @ 3.6 AND put a 6800 to 450+ so I doubt power should be an issue. Its not even straining to make this system smooth and stable. Fans on the cpu make more noise, but that's no surprise :p

Should power your system no problem.

The only question I have is how it would power two 6800's under full load since I don't know how the rails are split up. Like, if the PCI-e connector is on 12V2 with the 2x2 connector and you had to run an adapter off of a drive Molex for the second card and the drives run off of 12V1, then you should be fine then too.

And that's the way it SHOULD be. I think the only company that dicks around with what cables are on what rails is Enermax.

alright sounds good, i think im gonna pick one up shortly. hopefully it will keep me stable too
