I bought the Antec NeoPower 550w ATX 12v Power Supply - NEO HE550

http://www.buy.com/prod/antec-neopower-neohe-550-550w-power-supply-atx12v/q/loc/101/202014042.html

It comes with a $20 MIR, the problem is i checked the status prob took only like 3 weeks to process, turns out they gonna mail it back saying that :

The receipt you submitted was dated after the qualifying period for this promotion

The rebate qualifies b/w 4/3-4-16, bought it online at buy.com on the 11th and shipped next day. I did everything correctly and they basically screwed me over. Sent a copy receipt circle price(im pretty sure the date was on the receipt i printed from online and its b.w the quali. date) and cut orin. upc code and filled out the form mailed it. My other 2 rebates went through. Anyone else have the same problem. Im thinking of calling them and complaning to them. I remember hearing from somewhere that the companies sometimes scammed ppl with the rebates.

Just call them.

I had a similar issue with both OnRebate and Circuit City. I was in the right, but they insisted that my receipt was incorrect. I called, asked them if they would like another copy of the receipt for them to review, was given a fax number to send the receipt over to, was emailed back being told that my faxed submission was accepted and I got my money.

I don't know why rebate companies think they can get away with doing this. It's quite blatent. I send you a receipt, and you say it's not the right date, incorrect, etc. But then when I fax a copy of the SAME THING I'm accepted. That pretty much means, "I'm right and you're wrong." But they do it just the same.

Seriously, just call them.

They do it because the majority of people are too lazy to call and question them or think it wouldn't do any good to try. Some companies seem to try to screw customers over, but if you call them on it they'll be more than happy to work with you. It's an odd paradox, but I guess that's how business works.

I called them, they want me to fax the receipt with the date again.... damn scammers, like you guys said. If it happens again, ill cuss them out on the phone and somehow talk to their boss/supervisor.

That's what really blows me away, though. Some people put forth so much effort going from forum to forum bitching and moaning and writing letters to the local department of consumer affairs or whatever it's called... but not once pick up the phone???

But then again, I'm a guy who calls the bank when I don't think I should get charged $1.50 for using an ATM. :p
