I bought an original Antec LANboy a long time ago, I'm moving on from that one and I searched the internet and I can't find them anywhere, What happened to them?
 
imho the super lan boy is not ugly. i say this because i own one. it provides excellent cooling too.
 
I honestly hate mine so I'm modding it...right now it's sitting in pieces in a corner.
 
I just didn't like some of the things like the stupid drive rails and such, hate was probably too strong of a word.

I hope to rectify the problems I have with the Lanboy in my mods, try to imagine the love child of an SLK3700, Lian Li case, and a G4. ;) :D

sounds normal, you wanna make it better, I have the same .... problem? Anyways, the first and only PCs I've built have been Shuttles. Was looking at the lanboy for a possible standard ATX setup.
 
the only thing I have a problem is with the paint on the original LANboy. that flakes soo easily... you put scotch tape on it, comback several minutes later... you remove tape and you lose paint with it....I'm thinking about repainting my Lanboy
 
I've beaten up my Lanboy and haven't had any paint flaking off, wierd.
 
I've had 4 (gateway, big ass chieftec, 2 lian lis) cases before the lanboy, and so far the only complaints I have are the drive rails, and the restrictive air flow front bezel. 1 problem is solved.

:D :D :D :D before anyone yells, yes, I am planning on getting modders mesh eventually. btw, there was a black ice extreme behind there, and there's a rheostat on the front so I can control the 2 120mm fans I got in there. It's a nice little rig :-D next on the agenda: true blue pearl stripe, ps1 LCD on the front door, and the return of watercooling ;-)
