There is another review of the Antec Kühler H2O 620 CPU cooler on the net today, this time it is the gang at Hardware Secrets doing the reviewing. As always, you can see our evaluation here for comparison purposes.

The Antec Kühler H2O 620 seemed to be an excellent watercooling system at first sight. It is easy to install, is elegant, and quiet; and it cooled our CPU reasonably well. However, the problem is that you don't buy a watercooler system to cool your processor "reasonably well".

It offers good performance, but when compared to the top air coolers, it's more expensive and not as good. Also, you have 2 potential failure points (fan, pump) vs. just the fan with an air cooler. Doesn't really make sense to buy this unless you just like to brag to people who are uninformed.

Watercoolers still have to remove the heat somehow- in this case with a water to air radiator with a fan on it.

It's good to see these products reviewed. I'm interested in using one so that if I have a stick of RAM die I won't have to pull the CPU cooler and reapply paste.

I hope the [H] guys don't mind me posting this here - the 620 isn't meant to compete directly with the "top end" air coolers. It's meant to offer a smaller footprint and cool your CPU quietly by controlling the fan via liquid temperature.

It still makes me laugh that people compare these skinny 120mm rad coolers to huge towering heat pipe coolers and think they fail because the biggest coolers out beat them.

I own a H50 which is very similar to this apart from the base/pump and yes i did like the temps yet knew other air coolers beat it but that was not why i bought it, i bought it to replace the 1300g copper monster sitting on my CPU.
These coolers are not about being the best but about fitting in a smaller space and not trying to pull your motherboard apart from crazy over max spec weight.

I don't know about anyone else here but i would happily take the Antec Kühler H2O over about 3lbs of weight hanging off my motherboard.
