So NINE days ago I sent an RMA request about my failing PSU.

Its an Antec TPQ 850, its known for failures and I believe (apart from EVGA support asking for the +12v rail rating which is 12.830 in bios), it is what caused my EVGA GTX 580 to have blue lines across the screen and eventually never let me get into Windows with the exception of using safe mode.

I tried beta drivers and the driver update from August using my GTS 250 to download and install. I'd shutdown, then plug the 580 in but to no avail.
I have a feeling this is what led to me selling my Twin Frozr II 6950 2gb OC, after constant game freezing and AMD driver crashes.
I have had this PSU for ALMOST a year (bought and installed Oct 24 2010).

And yea, NINE days ago I sent the trouble ticket in and still no answer, whereas I sent EVGA my trouble ticket and they responded 3 hours later.

You bet your ass I will NEVER buy an Antec product again!!!

First off, software readings are never accurate. You need a multimeter to semi-accurately measure your voltage.

Secondly, I highly doubt your computer would function at all with such a high voltage. ATX spec requires that the voltage stays between 11.5 and 12.5.

Third off, have you tried sending a follow up request? Things happen, and it may have gotten lost somewhere. I generally hear good things about Antec.

I RMA'd a 650w PS to Antec about a year ago - the caps had started to hiss on shutdown... I chose the advanced replacement because I still needed my computer to be functional until I received the replacement.

They sent me a brand new unit... If I remember correctly, the whole process took about a week.

Well if the voltage is reading isn't accurate I don't know what could have killed my 580 since it was running smooth playing FO: NV, I put in a good 6 hours of game play on that game alone then I would get the constant freezing where I would have to restart the entire system.

Right now I have another 580 in there and I don't want to turn it on or run it as much because I'm afraid it'll do the same thing to this video card.
The 580 I had before was brand new. EVGA's customer service asked if I do some tests so I ran memtest, 0 errors all 3 sticks passed.
I don't run anything OC'd as I'm not [O] enough for that... lol

But seriously, they totally dropped the ball on helping me out. I had a Corsair PSU replaced back in May and I got a replacement in a week!
