So NINE days ago I sent an RMA request about my failing PSU.
Its an Antec TPQ 850, its known for failures and I believe (apart from EVGA support asking for the +12v rail rating which is 12.830 in bios), it is what caused my EVGA GTX 580 to have blue lines across the screen and eventually never let me get into Windows with the exception of using safe mode.
I tried beta drivers and the driver update from August using my GTS 250 to download and install. I'd shutdown, then plug the 580 in but to no avail.
I have a feeling this is what led to me selling my Twin Frozr II 6950 2gb OC, after constant game freezing and AMD driver crashes.
I have had this PSU for ALMOST a year (bought and installed Oct 24 2010).
And yea, NINE days ago I sent the trouble ticket in and still no answer, whereas I sent EVGA my trouble ticket and they responded 3 hours later.
You bet your ass I will NEVER buy an Antec product again!!!
