I am going to soon be purchasing components for a new computer and have read about problems between Antec powersupplies and nvidia based motherboards. I want to buy an Antec NeoPower 480W supply with a MSI Neo2 platinum. Has anyone experienced problems with this combination or have thoughts on the subject? Thanks

The biggest issue with the board you are looking at is it’s a bit complex to set up, but well worth the effort.

I use an Antec with mine and it’s rock stable. Most of the issues I have read about were people trying to run low end PSU’s on a High End board. Stick with the Antec TruePower or NeoPower and you should be fine.

I believe the Neo has dual 12v rails so just watch how you divide up the output.

Luck

I am not too knowledgable about the dual 12v rails. What do you mean by watch out how I divide them? I assumed that the modular based cables would be simple to use. Thanks

see the How to Buy a PSU sticky thread at the top of the board

+12V1 will be powering the CPU, Mobo, PCI cards (employing +12V) and AGP
+12V2 will be powering everything else including the +12V auxillary power to the Graphics Card
