I have a Antec 920 Kuler and a I7 2600K @ 4.2GHz

The Problem is this chip is crap and needs alot of v-core @1.275 just for this clock

I want to go higher but i dont think im getting enough heat transfer from cpu to heat block

example i have been running prim 95 for 8 hours core temps are up to 58-62 oC while the liquid temp is around 36.0 oC thies cores are steady at that temp my liquid temp to core temp delta T is 26 oC thats a big difference in temps and heat transfer i have tryed applying my heat sink 8 differnt times im running out of MX2 I don't think im doing it wrong tried the dot method (poor temps) tried vertical line method (best temps so far) card method (temps not much better then line) i tried to use less and less thermal paste but im just wasting it trying to get better temps i must be doing something wrong the antec 920 should be giving better temps right? I would like to see a Delta T of less then 12 oC if possible that why i might considering lapping my cpu but im not sure if the Antec base is suitable it kinda has a rough grain on the surface and mine has a few pits and scratches.

any help on the matter would be appreciated

1.275v is not all that much. You still have plenty of room temp wise as well.
