Antec 900 or TJO7

The TJ07 is a nicer case all around, with a more solid construction and better watercooling-ability for later on.

The 900 is a great case for the price point, although I dislike the weird polygon they call a window :eek:
 
i've heard that the TJ07 doesnt have the best airflow. what about the lian li g70 or v2000? theres quite a price difference between the antec and the silverstone, what are you looking for in a case?
 
I own a Antec 900, case is cool, must get a fan controller to control 5 fans (4, 120mm and 1 200mm) BUT, the motherboard tray is connected to the drive bay's. So you can't tuck any wires in the back of the case............unless u dremel a hole, cause the back can hold alot, too bad its shutoff completely =(
 
I'd suggest you go out and find a store where you can get your hands on the Antec 900.
With that said, you wouldnt even have it as a choice.Don't get me wrong, the case looks half-decent, but the flimsly plastic and what feels like sheetmetal doesnt make it sturdy at all.
 
You can't even compare these two... it's like comparing a Bentley Continental GT to a Volkswagen Passat.


Go with the TJ07 hands down.
 
As mentioned, you can't really compare these two as price is a big factor. However, having owned a TJ07 and now a TJ09, I'd definately go with the TJ09 for better airflow.
 
TJ07 has absolutely amazing airflow and is a much, much better case than the antec.

TJ07 is my dream case..... :-D~~~~
 
As a former 900 owner, I gotta say skip it. It is really a horrible case, I just bought it because I needed something quick an my local had it. If you want a cheap case go with the 180 if you want a good one silverstone
 
tj07 all the way, just make sure if you want a window to get case with it. Best money i ever spent on in regards to cases.

TJ 09 = Better Air
TJ07 = Probably better all around as it can house two power supplies or fit some watercooling gear in place of a 2nd PSU. Lot more options.

I think either one would be a FAR better choice than the 900.

How would a Stacker 830 Evolution size up to these 3 cases?
 
Ouch guys whats with all this 900 hating? It's a damn nice case and the aesthetics of it are pretty kick ass IMHO. It's a cheap case price point wise, but I don't think the construction of it is flimsy in any way. The side panels a little meh, but I'm not carrying it around by that. The airflow is awesome and it can fit a good amount of hardware, if you're not water cooling. Definitely worth a look in my opinion, I love the thing.
But it does have the worst possible cable management in any case that I have ever used. I'm debating whether or not to cut some holes into the beast to route the wires through, Because no matter what you do with the wiring it looks like garbage.
However if you do have the money, I see no reason to get the 900 over a Silverstone :p
They're pretty high end cases built like tanks. They're just too plain for me.
 
Plus, 900 is much lighter and more mobile than TJ07 :D In my case, that's the decisive factor. In terms of air-cooling, 900 is hard to beat in it's class (mid-towers). Comparing 900 to TJ07 is not really fair, they are in different classes, and of course, 900 loses on many fronts. However, in terms of price (you can find one at $60 new), air-cooling capability and compactness, 900 wins hands down. In terms of construction, space TJ07 is all the way :D
 
I don't understand why people are saying the 900 is flimsy. Its a pretty damn sturdy case with excellent cooling. Now, I agree that wiring in this sucker is a bitch, but a hole saw and 5 minutes of your time takes care of this. That said, for the price point its a great case.

If money isn't an option get the Silverstone for sure...

But the way I see it is:

TJ07 + 8800gts

or

Antec 900 + 8880gtx

The Antec 900 is a great case if you can dremel a few holes for cable management.
 
Yeah, cable management on 900 is a b!tch... Luckily, I don't really care, as long as the wires stay away from the airflow, and I got it done, more or less... Some wires can't be tucked away, because the PSU is at the bottom, while manufacturers always assume that psu is supposed to be at the top.

Very true. With the Nine Hundred it's a good idea to run a modular PSU if you can.... helps to cut down on clutter a lot. Cable ties are a must have too.
 
$60 versus $300; even despite the difference in the actual specs of the cases, is this a good comparison?

Oh yeah, I forgot that point. I have modular PSU, and it rocks... Still have a wire running accross to the 4-pin power connector near the cpu... no way around it :(
 
Yeah but if you want to drill a few holes you can get it there easy. And if you don't you can put it around the back of the case near the pci slots and then underneath the fan and connect it right to the mobo. Better then stretching it across the surface of the mobo:p

Nah, cable itself is a little short... so I need to go the shortest route to get it there... I guess corsair didn't expect ppl mounting their psus at the bottom of the case :rolleyes:

830s are very nice as well! I think they over do it a little with all the fans, but great cases indeed. I don't like the way they look, I like more of the classy sleek style I guess, not the alien invader look. :p But yes, they rank up with the Tejmin series. Great functionality.

I prefer the look over the Stacker 830 than the more classical styling on the TJ-07; i could live with a TJ09, though.
 
I dremel my antec 900 with (2) 2inches holes, one by the power supply and one besides the 24 pin.

I have a ocz 700 watt GameXstream and i was able to hide all the wires in the back of the case. looks cleaner and sexier :D
