Before I buy a cathode, I wanted to know if a 12" Logisys White Cathode will fit along the top of this case -- right below the 200mm fan but hidden by a lip, running horizontally.

Thanks

you mean like this?:

pretty crappy pic, but its all i got at the mo...

i put 2 blue cathodes on either side of the 200 and 2 either side of the HDd bay for this look:

Yea, just like that one, which I assume is a 12"? I only want a single, on the window side, but hidden. Thanks man, I will have pics up soon of my box so far with the mod action.

yep, they're all 12" ers...

single sounds good...

sorry about pic size...

my mate has that computer right now, and all the lights face directly into this huge door of his wardrobe... which is a giant mirror, so it is very very bright...

If a 12" fits along the top, running horizontally under the 200mm fan,

do I need any space going into the top hard drive cage? (an empty spot)

I use 3 Silverstone CFP51-Bs.

what are they? i haven't ever heard of them...

i had to take out me asus sata optical drive to get the top ones in, because even though it is the shortest optical drive i have ever used (especially in that case) it was still too long for the cathodes. my cathodes are randomish ones that i got cheap at a electronics shop, and they came with little velcro thingies that are velcro on one side and sticky on the other, so i had to take out the drive, put the sticky things on, then put the cathodes in, then put the drive back in.

end result is that the cathodes are right up the top and stuck onto the top (or side, i forget which) of the optical drive, but you might just want to stick them to the top of the case...

what is this cathode for btw? i forgot to ask... is it just a work light?

After viewing several different setups, I have come to like the white light (since it is actually white). My only limitation for uploading pictures of all my mods so far, is a digital camera. My camera phone is crap, not worth the time. Thanks the replies and answer to my question.

My order from FrozenCPU should be here in a few days, and some of the items includes a 12" white cathode and a rocker switch. I am mounting 2 rocker switches in the top coin tray, this way it clears up a PCI slot for me, and will be easier to access.

nice choice...

mine came with switches attatched to the molex connectors, and i just mounted them in the water cooling holes at the back...
