Hello,

A while back I got a 550watt PSU from newegg for my PC. I jsut recently got a new PC, with a AMd 4200 64 bit cpu.

My last PC was a Intel 3ghz. My new has a PSu in it but only about 350 watt.

My question is: Is there a way for me to find out if my old 550 Watt PSU will work with a AMD 64 bit system? Any help would be great. thanks.

Yes, you should be fine. Antec is a good name, so a 550W supply from them should be robust enough for just about anything out there today.

Im getting this card also....

Was reading the reviews at NewEgg....the only cons I read talked about extra ordinarily long cords and cables.

Someone also sent me a private message talkin about how this card only has 2 rails at 12v or something like that.....

I dont know much about computers and despite me reading the FAQ's about the rails, im still stumped.....wattage this, volt that..I dunno, I dont get it...therefore, I dont understand the significance of having 2 rails vs 4 rails vs million rails....I dunno...

Ive heard nothing but good stuff about this PSU and have been told it will run my new build very well....so im stickin with it.....

Oh yeah,,,,,anyone care to explain "rails" for me/us in terms a non-computer wiz/electrician can understand :D

Well regulated transformers. Watch one of the 3dgameman videos and you'll understand.
