Okay I was wondering if I am doing something wrong, or if there is some kind of trick....I bought a Antec 480w from Directron, and when I connected it to my main computer (or any other computer), I get no power. The green LED on the motherboard is lit up, but nothing happens. The volts is set to 115v, I used the powercord from antec, plugged it from the wall and my surge protector, all the plugs are where they are suppose to be. Am I missing something? My old Antec 420w works fine....I guess I will be exchanging it this weekend, but if anyone has any idea's or suggestions, feel free to reply...

what does any other computer entail
first the obvious
correct source voltage set if it not auto sensing (110 or 220)
that the power switch is on if it has a seperate one on the back
that the wall outlet is good
that the surge protector if there is one is good (some have seperate fuses for each plug)
things not so obvious
check that the pins on the main mobo connector are properly seated
especially the grey wire and the green (Power Good and Power On)
it seems to be working with the +5VSB (+5V Voltage Standby) since the LED is lighting up
make sure there is enough of a load on the supply for it to turn on,, some supplies require a load greater than the mobo alone can generate to trip the Power On signal, so attach a few drives
test it
using an old Optical Drive or HDD, short the Green pin to any of the Black Pins
the drive will place a load on both the +12V and +5V rail either of which might be required to trip the Power On signal

Not to be dumb, but your power switch is connected to the motherboard, I guess? Since you said the Antec 420 worked, I will assume your power switch itself is actually connected to the motherboard. Just checking.

first u need 2 plugs from ur psu to ur mb, then u needto actualy connect ur powerswitch on the front of ur case to ur MB for it to work(tiny 1 pin plug thing)
the green light mean it has juice just need the powerswitch on front of the case plugged in to fire her up
