I just built my friend a computer based on this case. The thing is damn beautiful, and is the only kind of case I'll build computers with. Don't get your finger caught in the 120mm fan while it's on. Also, don't tighten the screws for the hard drive too hard. It took my a while to figure out how to mount them. Mount the hard drive with the IDE cable and power plug facing the non-open side to keep the mess down.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind since I can break a rock. The reason
I bought this instead of the Sonata is the ability to take off the
right side of the box to help with the clutter.
The big head screws must be the ones that hold the HDD. Odd
looking screws.
This case cost half of what my Chieftec/Chinming did and
is twice the case. Thanks.
When I first dumped out the screws, I looked at them like "Uh, oh... what the hell are these for". It took me a while to figure out that the brackets come out and you mount the hard drives by using those screws through the bottom. I didn't even know you could mount a hard drive by the bottom before. I added a nice Speeze 120mm which ended up to be a bit loud along with the stock fan on the 2.8C. I should have gone with the Vantec Stealth, which is something I'll do from know on with this case.
I love these Antec cases because they are pure quality. Nothing less can be said. I am kind of pissed at them due to the entire "we patented LED fans" thing, but that won't change my decisions in delivering the customers.
Shorty,
You bring up something I haven't thought about, mounting the HDD from the bottom. Can I assume that all HDD's can
mount that way?
As for a second fan, I have already bought a Vantec Stealth
for the front.
Someone did mention on another thread that the front
door is a bit lacking and I have to agree, but that is a small
nit pick for such a good product.
Lastly I just noticed the standoff that goes in the middle of
the mobo to keep if from being depressed as you add
other bits and pieces. Another simple idea.
Thanks for everything.

Yeah, I don't think Antec would have come up with the idea if it wasn't standard in all hard drives, unless they offer some sort of alternate mounting for hard drives, which I don't believe they do. I have a giant Antec PlusView1000AMG and after seeing this case, I seriously want to go back to simplicity and silence. All I know is that I'm not taking a big and flashy computer to college with me. Maybe a small desktop to go along with a laptop, but that's it. I noticed about the front fan that the noise isn't generally from the fan, but from the actual sucking of the air through either the slits or filters. When you mount the Vantec Stealth, try butting your ear up to it and seeing whether it's loud or not.
OO, these cases are nice. I used to have the 3700AMB. Was going to get this model for my new rig but went with the Sonata instead. Both are very nice IMO.
