Newegghas the 180 w/rebate for $89.99, while the 182 is $159.99. I know there were some small revisions to this case between versions, but are those revisions really worth $70 or would I be just as happy, having never seen either case in person, with the 180 for $70 cheaper?

I've decided this is all the computer I'll need for another year or so; my only requirement now is quieting it down. (Yeah, I know the ATI card is going to be fun.)
 
I'm not sure what the differences are, but you can get the case for quite a bit cheaper. Like here at buy.com you can get it for $129
 
if ur not fussy with the extra features the 182 has then get a 180 its basicly the same box but extra stuff for better cable management
 
The P180 I ordered from Newegg has the same revisions as the P182 shows. Newegg's site doesn't show them for the P180, though.

I'm pretty sure the one I got is just the newer revision of the P180, which is what I'm guessing you'd get as well. Much cheaper.

BTW, the cable management is great with it.
 
i have an original P180 and cable management was most defiantly not on Antec mind when they released it. the newer p180s and the newer P182s all have the cable management extras built in, the only difference is the P182 is available in the gun metal and chrome finishes

Got a version 2 P180, nice. Don't waste money on the P182. That's a big difference in price.
 
My guess is the P182 is just the new model, and will eventually be just like the P180: $80 compared to a new, revised case (a la P185 or whatever) that's the price of the P182 right now. Just the way the ball rolls. The 180 was once pricey like that, remember?
 
All P180s from Newegg have been revised version for several months. Other retailers have old stock, but that's increasingly unlikely anymore.

As of right now the only real difference between the P180/P180B/P182/P182SE is color. The 180 is silver, 180B is black, 182 is gunmetal gray, and the 182 SE is reflective and a good bit more expensive.

if anyone has i'd really appreciate a confirmation on whether they sell the new or old version of the P180

...the 'old version' isn't made anymore. It therefore isn't stocked anywhere anymore.

Yes. There are rubber water cooling holes at the back, cut outs around the motherboard edges and cable management around the back of the motherboard. The P180 exudes quality.
 
I just ordered the P180 from ZZF. It was $119 plus $30 rebate, so $89 total (free shipping). I will report back and let you know what revision I received. They have been running rebates lately on several places. This one expired Oct. 1 so I just barely made it under the gun. (Soooooo glad I ordered parts yesterday - dirt cheap, saved $90 with rebates.)

Nice price.

According to the box, mines a P180 EU (European edition) Paid £78 delivered. So that's $160, I'm envious of all the component prices on Zoom Zip Fly and Newegg. Our cheapest e-retailers are still a minimum of 25% more than America.
 
Interesting - the box my case came in clearly says "180," but it is indeed a 182 because it has the water-cooling grommets in the back.

I just have to say - if I had known how outrageously luxurious this case actually was before, I would have prioritized it over any internal component upgrade, any day of the week. Even if you're running a Celeron 300, at this point if you don't have this case (or something similar) I would argue you should get a case like this before upgrading the Celery. :D
 
The rev2 of the P180 has the new cable management holes and water cooling holes in the back which is probably what you got. The difference between that and the P182 is an extra couple inches in depth as far as I know.
 
The funny part is that here in Canada you can get the P182 for $146 and the P180 for $144. Can you say price gouging. I hate the Canadian computer part market.

The two are identical, just get the one that looks the nicest to you, but for price get the P180.
