i am thinking of using this case for a water cooled i7 rig, do you guys think it would work well

not the best but it works. you cant really put a rad in the top because of the one big fan which is too bad, but i think you can pretty easily put a 3x120 up front, and you can def hang a 2x120 or even a 3x120 off the back outside the case.

i currently looking t buying this and mounting a pa120.3 in front, or buying a used UFO-U2

aka all blocks. i was really excited to see that rad at first. :(

what are you gonna put in the loop modder?

Hmm, that is kind of a bummer, though there are some ways to deal with it. E.g., Blocks that are coated with a different metal/aluminum block and/or anti-corrosives in the fluids. Still, I guess better be safe than sorry.

im at first just gonna be cooling an i7, down the road i may expand to gpus (260's) and northbridge

the 3x120 up front would be more than adequate for cooling an i7. you could probably squeeze a 260 in there too but your oc ability will be limited. if you plan on putting a second 260 you will need another 2x120 minimum, preferably a 3x120, hanging off the back or squeezed inside if you can find a spot. this is assuming full coverage blocks. with gpu only blocks you could probably use 1 less 120. the nb doesnt add a significant amount of heat to the loop, but i wouldnt put it under water unless it is getting too hot an air since it means youre adding that much more heat to the loop that you dont have to.

yeah the 3x120 up front will only be for the i7 if i add other components to the loop i will also add more rads

well i was thinking a 2X120 in the back, after that im not sure i think that would be all id have room for

id really like to use an MM ufo but im not sure if i wanna spend $300 for one

I was in your shoes until today. Spent hours laying out an MM UFO in Visio, but in the end couldn't see paying the $400 it would cost to get the UFO setup I'd like. I picked up a 1200 today for my i7 build.

yeah im feeling that right now......i just dont think i can justify $300 on a case, but for a water cooled build it would have a lot more cooling power, as it could hold more and bigger rads while still having extra spots for fans
