of companies building cases like this and completely ignore all aspects of dust filters!
I have a really old Antec tower case. It's got 3 80mm fans in the front; 2 80mm fans in the back, and 1 90 mm fan above the psu.
I had to design and make filters for my case to keep the dust; pollen and lint out of my case. About every 6 months I take the filters out; clean / wash them and then put them back. I've done this now for years.
I'm also annoyed with the placement of the PSU's in these cases. Who needs a case requiring extensions to your PSU power cables to reach the furthest points on your main board? BUZZ.
Yes Cinderella, there is a really simple solution (actually a couple of them). One is change the depth from front to back of the case so you can add a PSU in the middle of where one would normally think the HDD's should be located. Benefit? Puts the power cables directly over the MB so they are immediately available for connecting.
A case with PSU(s) in the middle of the cases front panel, also tolerates / encourages redundant power implementations.
The other big thing with changing the depth of the case is it really lets those who want to water cool their systems to have significant space on the top of the case to put in radiators and the such.
Of course the down side is it places the massive weight of the PSU(s) squarely in the middle of height of the case changing the cases center of balance. But one can argue this point when we see so many cases where the PSU is at the top of the case!
I don't know, call me a dreamer.
I guess I'll have to go have a case fabricated to my personal specifications to achieve what I want!
