anoying blue screen problem Help!

Hi Ive had this problem for the past 5 days or so, before then everything was fine.

What happens is after 15 minutes of watching a movie, or playing a video game I get a blue screen of death. If I just surf and read text it doesn't seem to happen, or as much. This is incredibly annoying as I pulled my computer apart and back together again, and removed the hard drive and formatted another and installed a fresh copy of windows 7 on it just to try to fix the problem, and it still remains. I tried switching between 2 identical 2 gig ram sticks, and the same problem happends so I doubt it's the ram. Plz help
The error that comes up changes, sometimes it's " fault_in_nonpaged_area ", sometimes it's fltmgr.sys, or IRQL_DRIVER_NOT_LESS OR_EQUAL"

Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb
AMD athlon 64 x 2 6000+
2 gig of gskill f2-8000 memory
500 gig ATA seagate harddrive
Gigabtye GA-M78SM mobo
Windows 7 7600

It's a driver issue. What was the last piece of hardware you installed? I also see you are on Windows 7. Did you have this problem with the last OS?
 
Last hardware I installed .. mmh well I basically put it all together at once 4 months ago and it's been fine untill now.

My previous OS was xp, I had no problem, I just prefer windows 7 its great.

Are you sure it's a driver problem? I formatted this drive, and installed windows 7 fresh, downloaded the latest drivers from the net for my gfx and soundcard.
 
so when I say that its likely a driver issue with something you've got and Windows 7, because a suitable driver doesn't exist yet or something similar, will you whine and tell me I'm not helping because of the commentary that "if it worked fine with XP, hardware should be fine, so use XP because it works"?
 
well both of those BSOD errors you listed are a memory problem.. seems its failing when its trying to dump the memory after playing a game or movie.. so it could be a motherboard problem or a drivers issue.. though id lean toward it being a driver issue..

are you running the recommended windows 7 drivers for that motherboard or are you just running the default ones that installed with windows 7?

if gigabyte does not have windows 7 drivers for that motherboard.. install the vista ones.. they should be identical..
 
Currently Im running the defaut ones. Although on my last win 7 install I had correct ones I got from the gigabtye cd, and still had this problem.

But i will take your advice and download the latest win 7 or vista ones I can find.

the ones from the cd are old as snot and useless.. the drivers on the cd are pre vista SP1.. use the ones on gigabytes website..
