looking at four right now, for two rigs. so heres the deal.

which of these two:

antec basiq 500w $30
OCZ stealxstream $30 AR

and which of these two:

pc power and cooling 750w $90 AR
corsair hx620 $77 AR open box

Specs of rigs 1 and 2?

And don't factor in rebates unless you have that rebate check in hand. Rebates can still be denied, ignored or lost.

rig 1:

dual cpu dual core opterons
server mobo
ti4400
4 sticks of ram
up to 4 hdds
1 optical
raid card

rig two:
q6600 oced
775 full atx mobo
2x2gb
8800gts 512
2 hdds
1 optical
wifi card
sound card

both the pcp&c and ocz psus have $30 MIRs

anyone else? I was thinking the pcp*c would be better than the corsair? and the antec better than the ocz personally?

That particular Antec PSU is crap. Since you factor in rebates, I'd have to recommend the OCZ PSU over the Antec Basiq. Just don't load that StealthXStream PSU past 450W to 500W and you'll be fine. Though I highly recommend upping your budget for the PSU for Rig 1. Right now you can get the decent EA500 (Definitely better than the StealthXStream IMO) for $50:
Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU - $50

For rig 2, it's basically down to what features you want. The quality between both PSUs is the same and both PSUs share the same Seasonic OEM. You really can't go wrong with either PSUs. If you want modular, then go with the 620HX. If you want more power, then the Silencer 750. However make sure that open-box 620HX has manufacturer warranty.

pcp&c are and have been the best for many years...for 90 buchs the 750 is a great deal..I run the 610 eps and its a virtual powerhouse..tech support is stellar ,you can actually call the number and talk to a rep...they are so nice and will do anything to resolve your problem...ive owned the 410 silencer and the 470, and the 610 eps and all were perfect....

That Antec is a cheap model, so it's not better than the OCZ, which uses FSP's Epsilon platform. Although Epsilon units typically have high ripple near their max loads, as long as you stay below around 100W less than their rating, that isn't an issue. Your first system probably won't get near 400W under full load, so you'd be fine. However, the Earthwatts PSU that Danny posted would be a lot better than either of the options you posted if you can stretch a little.

As for the PCP&P versus the Corsair, they're actually about equal quality. However, I give the edge to the Corsair for a couple of reasons. First of all, it's modular, so cable management will be much easier. It also uses a 120mm fan as opposed to the 80mm used by the PCP&P, so it'll be quieter at high loads (although that isn't really a concern for you considering the specs of the system you'll be using). Plus, the Corsair will cost you a fair amount less, and the higher wattage of the PCP&P unit certainly isn't needed for the rig you'll be using with it, so you may as well save the cash and go with the cheaper PSU.
