Another VM Convert

Wow, I recognize a lot of these names on here from the XPS700 debacle! I finally decided to cancel my order and end the *3 months*(!) of waiting for a substandard computer (I stuck with PD because I was promised it would get here faster, go figure) and ordered the end of August with VM. Specs on the system aren't as crazy as a lot of the people on here, but there was only so much I could afford, after all.

Now I'm just waiting for it to ship. Was supposed to ship last Wednesday, so hopefully it'll get out soon. Been waiting since June with the Dell thing and any extra time makes me wiggy. Will update with tests and everything when it gets here - the monitor got here and it's AWESOME compared to my little 17' laptop screen, but my laptop won't display at those resolutions so it's lonely. ; ;

I went through nearly the same experience you did with the Dell XPS 700, CMitchell, except that I got sick of waiting much sooner than you did. So, I cancelled and went to Alienware and went through pretty much the same thing. Ended up with VM and I consider it serendipity.

I hope that you're as happy with your VM system when it arrives as I am with mine.
