Its that time again, I was stupid and bought an 8800gts 640 back in october of 07 and it managed to only feed my need for 2 years (which is good in considering the ave length of time a real [H] user has a vga for) . Anyways so I figure I have two paths I can go down, sli current setup. Or buy a new card ( 4870 1gb , GTX260 ) . Other hardware below, budget is below 200 unless someone can convince me spending more will be worth it. I figure another 2 years out of this box before I start from scratch.

X3210 OC'd to 3.2ghz
IP35 Pro MB
Thermaltake Big Water cooling system (just on cpu)
2gb 1000mhz ram (will upgrade to 4gb at the same time)
2x500gb Deskstar 7200rpm HDD in Raid 0
Lg Blu-Ray Drive
Samsung DVD Burner
55" Sony SXRD HDTV (run everything at 1080P, wish I could go higher but can't complane)

Main uses are for blu-rays and soon to be COD MW 2, current 8800gts does this fine besides I just cant play anything made in the past 2 years on max settings at 1080P, I am not looking for crysis at max though.

Thanks for the suggestions all.

ATi HD4870 or HD4890. Best bang for the buck. You can get them on sale from $130-$170. They will drop even more after the new gen comes out.

doubt they'll drop, prob $5. AMD is trying to have a card for every price segment and since the new cards supposedly starts at $299, gaps need to be filled in, not emptied.
