How can you find out the actual cpu temp on your mobo if you have an abit ic7 board!? (without a prescott). I'm reading uber high temps idle (53) for my northwood, and I have a sweet hsf and arctic silver on there, abmient temp in lower 30's. I'll hit up to 67 after playing Doom3.....help!!

Uh, what's that and where can i get one? And will that really measure the core temp?

You need to buy a device that displays temeratures. Many fan speed controllers have temperature monitoring functions like this one:

It was the first one that came up after searching for "temperature" on New Egg.

You tape a temp probe to the desired device and run a wire back to the fan speed controller.

Stop worrying. I have the same mobo (see sig). If the temperature is about 30 C in the room (as now), the CPU idles at about 53C and goes up to 65 C under load.

someone told me to - 13 out of the temp they gave you and you will get the real temp.
