Another Silverstone Raven model

Looks like the eliminated the 8th PCI slot to do it and improved the 180mm fans.

But this is the most important news:

Apart from that the RV02-E is pretty much the same as the existing RV02, and if you're looking for something really new - the Raven RV03 is due at Computex in June, along with the incredibly sexy TJ11.

This is what I'm waiting for. A TJ07 with the look of the FT02 with room for watercooling.
I will sell my FT02 in a heartbeat. Price doesn't matter this time around. $350 is reasonable.

An update to the TJ07 or TJ10 is just what I'd like to buy, but price definitely matters. Otherwise we get overpriced stuff like $500+ chassis that are hammered performance-wise by far less expensive cases.

So you'd still buy it if they charged $450 for it?

Yeah, this I've gotta see. Quoted so we can point to this thread once they announce the pricing and the moaning begins. ;)

lol maybe, but right after that I said $350 is reasonable but I guess that part didn't matter.

The FT02 is overpriced, so the price of that was a huge issue. Paying $350-400 for the TJ11 is within my range judging on the TJ07 and current high-end Lian Li cases. I won't switch my FT02 until the TJ11 is released. I should net $125-150 for the FT02 which will help with the cost. I think it's safe to say that the TJ11 will be over $350 so anyone not willing to pay the cost will shy away early. I bought my FT02 for less than $200.

I just hope it doesnt suck.. like the 9 and 10.

Actually, I'd be willing to spend UP TO $450 if they do this:

-Adopt the same layout/cooling of the FT02/RV02 but with more exhaust fans at the top since I am assuming it will be larger
-Uses the same unibody construction of the FT02/FT01/TJ07
-Powdercoated black inside like the raven/fortress, etc
-Make the cut-out hole larger so you can easily swap coolers on boards such as the classified
-Provide optical bay stealth covers to hide ugly plastic drives.
-Improved HDD rack system. Get rid of the damn plastic hard drive holders.
-Provide more space between 5.25" bay holders and motherboard tray. I am assuming this will naturally happen as the case will be larger.
-Don't use pathetically thin aluminum side panels just for the sake of using aluminum. They easily bulge. Either make the aluminum on them thicker, or use steel for them like on the FT02.

What would also be cool is if they offered a silver version that is also powder-coated black inside, unlike the silver version of their ft02.

those cases don't suck

I've used all three between the TJ09, 10 and 7 - and the 7 is only good if watercooling. For air, it's ass. And I LOVED my TJ09. The TJ09 was the case I had the longest and I went back to it several times after trying out a number of other cases.

lol...really how many cases have you owned? I would not be surprised when you're the first one with the TJ11 :p. You getting tired of the FT02 yet?

Agreed on almost all of this except, ditch the powdercoat, and anodize the bulk of the case, including interior. ~$400-500 would be fine by me.

Tony says that a new case(TJ11) will not be released no earlier than Q4 2010. Also there are no current pics of the case. We may see a prototype next month, but my FT02 will stick around for a while now.

I'm still excited to see it during Computex. Hopefully it's great for watercooling, TJ07 is long in the tooth and the 800D needs some competition :)

edit: [H]ard|Gawd status, finally!

I want to see how much of an improvement the AP fans are. Will these give the Gentle Typhoons a run for their money?

Adding to my list, if indeed the FT02/RV02 layout is adopted for the TJ11, how about a better top panel latching mechanism? Something where you don't accidentally scratch the top putting the damn thing on.

I agree. The top panel does scratch the finish and can be damaged by pulling too hard. Thankfully when being removed the clips doesn't break off
like the Lian Li P50. I rather see some kind of tool-less latch or thumb screws i.e. Cosmos S top panel.

I agree. The cosmos S had a good design for removing it.
