I would say go for a 6950(you could get a non-reference for £200), but it looks like the cheapest reference model is an XFX at about £222. The extra £30 might be worth it to you for the guaranteed upgrade. OTOH, the non-reference Novatech might be better if you want better cooling/noise performance and don't care as much about unlocking. Someone also mentioned their non-reference (I think XFX) 6950 had a different PCB and that his waterblocks wouldn't fit, which is something to consider.
