I know ive seen this answered somewhere, but after 30min of searching ive given up and decided to start a new thread :p

Whats the longest PSU i want to try to put in my QPack. I tried my OCZ Modstream, it was extremely tight, and i would have had to shave my drive rail i think a little. I want something with a little more room..

Im not sure about the longest but the Enermax Liberty 500W is a good fit
 
I got a recommendation that it should be 150mm or less. That's 5.9055 inches in depth. You COULD go up to as high as 160mm (6.2992inches) but that's pushing it. Overall, stay at or under 150mm.

EDIT: According to Directon.com, the dimensions of that PSU is Dimension: 5.91" x 3.39" x 5.51" (W150 x H86 x D140 mm). 140mm is less than 150mm so you should be fine.
 
i would say 140mm for modular and 150mm for non-modular. modstreams are 160mm and, from what i heard, the cables arent very bendable. even with a lite-on, it is super tight.
 
I fit an Antec 350W Smartpower 2.0 with a Liteon optical drive.

The PSU is 5.9 inches long. Its tight but it fits.

I would get a PSU no deeper than 5.5 inches.
 
Alright, ill keep some of those numbers in mind.. I work at bestbuy so i am checking out the decent ones that we cary, and they are all around 5.9in / 15cm

Im peticually eyeing this Antec Neo500HE, i get a pretty decent price on it :p
 
they carry decent psus (and i use that word lightly). I'd recommend highly newegg.com.
 
I have the Liberty 500w modular PSU. Fits great. I went from a Tagan 480w that was a little tight for my liking.
 
Another vote for the Liberty 500W here. Fits great. Works great. With my optical, I got even more great clearance.
 
im pretty sure the 400w enermax liberty would be plenty of juice for anything you can fit into a qpack. it doesn't have any led fans, but that's a plus to me :p

Well, doing the math from what I've heard, the neo isn't as good as it could be, and the liberty has good size, reliability, and better placement of modular cabling. Speaking from experience, the cabling connectors could have been done better, but I'll live.

I'm glad I pulled the trigger on the enermax. Well, for now at least, right? :)
