I've just started playing, and I was wondering if the cave and dungeons reset after an amout of time? i.e. Do the bad guys stay dead, or can I go back later and kill them again for loot.
The ones you killed stay dead, but I know for a fact that at least *SOME* kinds of dungeons can respawn enemies in certain areas. The whole place doesnt typically respawn though, just parts of it. Also most of the lockable containers end up with loot again.
I found this out when I took my lvl 12 character back to some dungeons he had cleared at around lvl 1 or 2 and some enemies where in there along with the dead bodies of previous ones and most of the locked boxes where full again.
Also, oblivion areas do respawn but only with about 50% of the original enemies (or less) but Im not sure exactly how long it takes them to do this.
