Fairly simple question.

What is the best overall cooling for a computer that is on 24/7 (while i'm asleep, while i'm at work, etc)

I read that phase change wasn't best for 24/7 because of condensation.

So, w/c? or really good air?

Inquiring minds want to know. :p

For 24/7 and if noise is not a factor, I prefer air. Fewer parts to fail.

Well, the BEST possible solution for a 24/7 rig is air cooling. After that, it's tough to call anything 100% failsafe...water cooling is alright, but the fact that your pump can "go" on you isn't that comforting. I'm more then willing to run h2O 24/7...but you can't actually say that h2O is perfectly ok for 24/7. Actually I'd go one step farther and say that a vapochill, although being ridiculously expensive, there isn't any fluid that can leek into your system. With h2O and phase change (and air cooling) you can set your mobo to shut down the comp when the CPU reaches a certain temperature...however...if aircooling or phase change fails, there's no liquid to leak into the system...and with air cooling, it doesn't cost WAY to much money to get the unit serviced. Tough to say though, 'cus with phase change, you could end up with condensation killing something off...but that only comes after a sub-par installation typically.

In the end...air cooling. Phase has less ways it can screw you over after it's setup properly...but is more expensive. h2O can leak OR the pump can die...but it's cheaper to work on/maintain...your call. ;)
