another mid-range SB build

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Just games; turn on play games; turn off so lots of power cycle
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
No limit but thought was ~$1000
3) Where do you live?

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None (maybe pull the xfi sound card; not sure of exact model but it is the 'good' one).
6) Will you be overclocking?

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
currently 22; but want to support dell 27 (high resolution)
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Next 2-3 months
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.
Quality on board sound would be nice; ethernet, crossfire
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

I currently have a e8400/8800gts g92 xp system which I use to play games (turn on when playing otherwise it is off; so it gets a fair number of power cycles; I use a linux system for web and stuff and that system stays on 24x7).

plan/objective:
My thought was to build a new system (running windows 7 64) and I figure the new system would accomplish 2 tasks; 2 to 4x faster and upgrade to windows 7.

Any comments or suggestion on changes or does it look perfect Bit more than I want to spend - maybe drop the ssd ?

Please assume I will be building in the next few weeks; more precisely I will begin to buy components as they show up at a good price. I.e, if the seasonic psu were to go on sale next week; i'd probably go ahead and purchase it. The 2-3 month time range is more of along the lines I'm willing to wait that long if needed for things to drop into appropriate price range but if I can find everythign tomorrow at a decent price I'll build it in a couple of weekends.
