Alright So I ordered the Mushkin Pc3200 Lvl1 512X2 1 GiG Ram. I am going to be running it dual channel. I know what slots to put it in and everything but am wondering if it is pretty much plug and play or do I need to change anything in the bios. I am not planning on overclocking or anything just running the 512X2 Dual channel. Thanks for the help.
 
You might have to manually set the timings in the BIOS to achieve the Level I's best timings.

Set CAS Latency to 2, Ras to Cas Delay to 3, RAS Precharge to 2, and Active Precharge delay to 5.

Alright that is what I was wondering. Is that really neccessary? Or will it not be as good without it?
 
Tighter timings will help with performance, albeit maybe only 3% tops. In Athlons the tighter timings are more important, but even for Pentium 4s, having tight timings helps; it improves the speed of memory access.
