Another "low ppd/high tpf" thread

So, this is the logfile for one of my gtx 460s, clocked at 850mhz core. Normally it has a tpf of about 1:40-1:42 on these units.

HFM is showing a tpf of about 3:50. Anyone?

Check your clockspeed. Looks like your gpu downclocked.

^^ make sure the driver didnt crash, forcing you into 2D clocks, happened to me all the time on nvidia cards

I'm pretty sure downclocking isn't the problem because there are 2 cards in that system, and the other is still functioning at the usual speeds. I'll check for sure in a couple hours when I have access. Anything else worth looking into?

is the card having issues the display card?

In my case i had two running, it was the display card that would continuously downclock, while the other one had no issues

otherwise, nothign comes to my head

I've had to disable SLI to get my second card to fold a full speed. Try that.

Have disabled sli, we'll see if that helps in a little while. Checked the usage graph in Afterburner, it was spiking up and down from ~40% to ~70%, while the other card was solid at 99% usage. And no, it's not the display card.

How long since you restarted this system? I get some odd things like that when I run my GPU systems for more than 2 months with no reboot.

About a week since last reboot. I wish I had that kind of uptime... sli being disabled seems to have helped. Times are still a little high, but more on the order of 20 seconds than 2 minutes like before.
